Arvo Pärt: Arbos
Uma das melhores coisas que ouvi nos útlimos tempos. "Arbos", de Pärt, começa e termina o álbum homónimo, de 1987. A peça foi gravada pelo conjunto de metais da Staatsorchester Stuttgart (a orquestra sinfónica de Estugarda), sob a direcção do estadunidense Dennis Russel Davies.

“On the Nature of Daylight” é uma composição do germano-britânico Max Richter que integra o seu álbum The Blue Notebooks , de 2004. “This Bitter Earth,” uma canção escrita por Clyde Otis e interpretada pela icónica cantora norte-americana Dinah Washington, foi gravada em 1959 e lançada oficialmente em 1960. Em 2010, Robbie Robertson combinou as duas gravações e integrou-as na banda sonora do filme Shutter Island , de Martin Scorsese. O resultado é um mash-up agradável que empresta uma boa roupagem à profundidade existencial da letra da canção original e à intensidade da voz de Dinah Washington.
