Uma das melhores coisas que ouvi nos útlimos tempos. "Arbos", de Pärt, começa e termina o álbum homónimo, de 1987. A peça foi gravada pelo conjunto de metais da Staatsorchester Stuttgart (a orquestra sinfónica de Estugarda), sob a direcção do estadunidense Dennis Russel Davies.

Assim termina o último sermão de John Donne, pregado em 25 de Fevereiro de 1631, no White Hall, perante o rei e a família real. A solenidade litúrgica era a primeira Sexta-feira na Quaresma. Donne subiu ao púlpito tão fragilizado pela doença que a congregação suspeitou que não conseguiria proferi-lo, mas, nos diz o editor da sua obra completa no século XIX  (Henry Alford) , que, então, uma vontade férrea energizou o fébil corpo para cumprir a tarefa sagrada que lhe havia sido confiada.
